Student Support Service

At TH School, a safe and inclusive environment that offers diverse opportunities for students with different backgrounds, abilities, and needs is always a top priority. Specifically, the school implements a range of initiatives designed to meet students’ diverse learning needs. Student support programs are developed and delivered to ensure that all learners have equitable access to educational opportunities, are empowered to set personal goals, and are provided with appropriate learning approaches to achieve those goals. Through a nurturing environment that fosters holistic learning, students are encouraged to become independent, confident, passionate learners who never stop exploring knowledge.

Below are the four key initiatives
included in the Student Support Program at TH School

English as a Second Language (ESL) Support

As the primary language used in both academic activities and extracurricular life at TH School, the development of English language proficiency is critically important for every student. Students whose mother tongue is not English often invest significant time and effort in developing multilingual competence, with the goal of using English confidently in daily life as well as in subjects other than Vietnamese Studies.

The English as a Second Language (ESL) support program is thoughtfully and systematically designed to address students’ learning needs while strengthening both academic and communicative English across all four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The program aims to equip students with age-appropriate English proficiency aligned with international standards. Throughout the school year, students receive continuous support and personalized learning pathways from their classroom teachers, as well as from specialist teachers who hold professional certifications in teaching English as an additional language.

Special Educational Needs

Special educational needs are used to describe differences in learning processes and barriers that may prevent students from fully accessing and engaging with the curriculum at TH School. Qualified teachers and learning support specialists work collaboratively to design and deliver targeted interventions, including small-group instruction, one-to-one support, in-class and out-of-class assistance, as well as support delivered through various technological tools.

For each student, teachers apply individualized strategies to help improve academic performance. All of these approaches are designed to address students’ specific learning needs, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and meet the learning objectives of each subject within the TH School curriculum.

Counselling

TH School provides dedicated counselling programs designed to support students in their social and emotional well-being, academic advising, career guidance, and consultation on selecting appropriate universities and fields of study. School Counsellors build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping them understand others as well as themselves, manage their emotions effectively, develop healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions.

University Counsellors work closely with secondary school students to advise them on their academic pathways and subject choices aligned with their abilities. They also help students identify their strengths in order to shape clear career directions. Throughout the university selection and application process, students and parents receive ongoing guidance and support from the University Counselling team.

School Health Care

TH School is equipped with modern facilities and medical support equipment, ensuring the capacity to manage and treat students’ basic health needs. The School Health Office is managed by a full-time, professionally certified nurse with strong expertise. The medical staff are fully informed about students’ health conditions, specific considerations, and appropriate medications (with parental consent), and are capable of handling non-serious health issues such as first aid.

In addition, the Health Office provides health-related education, including officially issued information and practical knowledge that students and staff can use to prevent health risks. TH School also offers nutritious breakfast and lunch meals daily for students. These meals are prepared from fresh, high-quality ingredients to provide students with the energy needed to focus on learning and participate in daily activities. Each menu is carefully designed by qualified nutritionists in accordance with the standards of the TH Nutrition Institute.
