Bùi Lam Trà is a well-known name within Vietnam’s youth debating community, recognized for her outstanding achievements and contributions. Her accomplishments include:
- Runner-up – Malaysia Open Debate Championship 2019
- Co-founder – Vietnam Academy of Debate and Public Speaking
- Professional debate coach, mentoring teams from schools such as Wellspring and others
- Organizer of major national debate competitions, including the Vietnam Novice Debate Championship with over 400 participants
- Instructor at Gấu Debate Camp, a nationwide summer debate program held across eight provinces and cities in Vietnam
After graduating from TH School in 2019, Lam Trà was accepted into several prestigious universities in the United States, including Ohio Wesleyan University, Allegheny College, and Gustavus Adolphus College. However, at a defining moment, she made the bold decision to set aside her dream of studying in the U.S. to pursue a greater mission—developing Vietnam’s youth debate community.
She chose to remain in Vietnam to study Professional Communication at RMIT University, while founding the Vietnam Academy of Debate and Public Speaking to turn her vision into reality. Through her dedication and perseverance, Lam Trà has achieved remarkable success as both a competitive debater and a professional coach.
